Some spots are just more photogenic than others!

This time of year, during fire season, we work the early shift. We have to start early to take advantage of low temperatures and (generally speaking) higher relative humidities. Working these hours helps reduce the risk of an operations caused fire. We also have to stick around after work is complete for up to three hours, depending on the Industrial Fire Precaution Level, IFPL, to watch for smoke in the area.

Century Forest Management is looking to hire an experienced log truck driver. We are based out of Monroe, Oregon and usually truck all around the Willamette Valley. Benefits start after 90 days of employment. Pay for this role depends on experience, but ranges from $27-$30/hr OR 29%-31%. The weather lately has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride for our shovel side. While shovel logging flat ground has a low impact to the soil, we still don’t push the limits in winter or spring. If we’re harvesting your property and you don’t see us working on a Tuesday, it’s probably just too wet and we have decided to let the property dry out a bit.
