Garren Hitner
Owner
From the verdant expanses of his family's tree farm in Myrtle Point, Oregon, Garren Hitner's childhood was steeped in the world of forestry. With a natural environment as his classroom, he absorbed the principles and practices of forest management from an early age. Following his passion for the outdoors and commitment to sustainable land stewardship, Garren pursued higher education at Oregon State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Forest Operations Management, complemented by a minor in Business.
After college, Garren brought his academic knowledge back to his roots, applying his expertise to the family's forestry business. His hands-on experience broadened through a variety of roles, including logging, road construction, herbicide application, and timber cruising. After a fruitful five-year tenure with the family enterprise, Garren’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to venture out on his own. He relocated to Alpine, Oregon, where he reconnected with Ethan Fielder, a former colleague. Together, they harnessed their collective experience and vision to establish Century Forest Management, a
logging company that would address the underserved needs of small timberland owners and set new standards in the industry.
