Commercial Thinning

Century Forest Management can design and implement a thinning prescription to meet your needs.  We do stand enhancement thinning for a variety of purposes including stand release, storm damage clean-up, fire salvage, and more. 

 

It is our priority to protect and enhance the leave trees to ensure a healthy forest when we are done. To do this, we de-limb and process all trees inside of the stand.  Doing this leaves an even slash mat of brush for our equipment to operate on with minimal ground compaction, and it also acts as fertilizer to the remaining trees when the material breaks down. 

 

Processing trees inside of the stand also makes it easier to maneuver trees to the landing without scaring the trees left in the stand.
