Meet the Owners

Ethan & Garren - Century Forest Manageme

Garren Hitner

Garren grew up working and recreating on his family’s tree farm in Myrtle Point, Oregon where he learned the ins and outs about forestry at a young age.  After graduating high school, he continued his education at Oregon State University earning his Bachelor’s degree in Forest Operations Management and a minor in Business.  Upon graduating from college, he returned to the family tree farm and forestry business where he worked on a variety of projects ranging from logging, road construction, herbicide applications, timber cruising, and more.  After working for the family business for 5 years he decided to start his own forestry company.  He moved to Alpine, Oregon and teamed up with his former colleague, Ethan Fielder, and they created Century Forest Management.

Ethan Fielder

Ethan has over 10 years of experience in the timber industry.  After graduating from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Forest Operations Management and a minor in Business, he went to work for an industrial timberland company overseeing thousands of acres. His tasks included re-forestation, road design, unit design, optimization of timber harvesting, and contract supervision.  Ethan is a third generation logger and prides himself on good old-fashion, honest, hard work.
